An IAF helicopter caught fire after it collided with an iron girder while landing at a helipad near Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand.

Four persons, including a pilot, were injured in the incident, sources said. Further details were awaited.

In October last year, a Mi-17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force crashed near Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh killing seven military personnel. 

The Mi-17 V5 (domestic designation Mi-8 MTV5) is a military cargo chopper in the Mi-8/17 family of helicopters. It is produced by Kazan Helicopters, a subsidiary of Russian Helicopters.
