An Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Jaguar (trainer aircraft) crashed over Pokhran in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, reports said on Monday. According to reports, both pilots managed to eject safely.
The aircraft was on routine training sortie when the incident occurred in the area which is near the Indo-Pak border, defence spokesperson Lt Col Manish Ojha said.
A Court of Inquiry has been ordered, he added. The trainer aircraft crashed following a technical snag,IAF sources said. Jaguar aircraft, a deep strike fighter plane, is capableof carrying nuclear payload.
