Senior IAS officer Awanish Kumar Awasthi will be the Principal Secretary of UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Awasthi, a 1987 batch IAS officer met with CM Adityanath Friday night.
After the meeting reports coming are suggesting that he would be the Principal Secretary of UP CM. Awasthi is posted on Joint Secretary's post in Centre govt's Ministry of Social Justice since 2013.
It is being said that CM Adityanath himself demanded centre to appoint Awasthi as his Principal Secretary.
Yogi Adityanath, who shares a healthy relationship with Awasthi was familiar with his style of working as he had in past, served as DM of Gorakhpur which is Adityamnath's constituency aw well.
Awanish Awasthi is graduated from IIT Kanpur and has a good amount of experience working in various districts of UP including UP CM's home constituency Gorakhpur.
Awanish is the husband of famous singer Malini Awasthi.
