New Delhi :

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while reacting to Punjab Education Minister Pargat Singh's statement that the state's government schools and education system were better than that of Delhi; appealed that if they (people) are really happy and satisfied with the schools and education system of Punjab then feel free to vote for the Congress, but if they (the people) want brilliant schools and education system like Delhi; then vote for the Aam Aadmi Party and form the AAP government.

On Thursday, a tweet by Arvind Kejriwal tagging Pargat Singh was released from the party headquarters. Kejriwal's tweet is a direct challenge to Pargat Singh's tweet, in which Pargat Singh claims that Punjab's government schools and education system is better than Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal said in his tweet, “The Punjab Education Minister said that the schools in Punjab were the best in the country and the teachers were very happy. Those who are happy with Punjab's schools and current education system should vote for the Congress. Those who want a brilliant education system in Punjab like Delhi should vote for us (Aam Aadmi Party).”

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia has challenged Punjab Education Minister Pargat Singh for an open debate on the issue of government schools and dilapidated education system in Punjab. Manish Sisodia arrived here on Thursday at the CII in connection with the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation elections, where Sisodia refuted the media's claims about Pargat Singh's education sector and said that elections should be held in Punjab on the issue of education; because without education, challenges cannot be tackled.

Challenging Pargat Singh, Sisodia said, “The work we have done in the field of education in Delhi and the work done in Punjab in the last 5 years for government schools and the education system should be compared. Pargat Singh should show the 10 best government schools in Punjab and I will show 10 government schools in Delhi. I am ready for an open debate. Pargat Singh should show courage to accept this challenge. The decision should be left to the public.”
