India is celebrating its 72nd Independence Day on Wednesday (August 15). On this occasion, the nation looks forward to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort, which will be for the last time before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls. To ensure smooth celebration of the Independence Day 2018, security has been tightened across the country and the borders of national capital Delhi sealed. Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory to avoid traffic congestion in the national capital. At least half a dozen roads in Delhi are closed today. However, the metro services will operate as usual, the Delhi Metro authorities said.
