India celebrated 74th independence day on Saturday. PM Modi adresed the nation on the occasion and congratulated citizens.Addressing the nation from the rampant of historical Red Fort on completing seventy three years of independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India is moving towards 'Aatmnirbhar Bharat'.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India must become self-reliant and use its vast natural resources to produce for the domestic as well as the global market. Emphasising on Vocal for Local and the domestic production, PM Modi said India should strive for meeting the needs of the world as well. He said that India is full of natural resources and the need of the hour is value addition. He also preasented the roadmap to fight COVID19 before the nation.

PM Modi said that three vaccines are being developed to fight the novel coronavirus in India. He said that these vaccines are at different stages of testing. He added further that his government will ensure every Indian gets vaccinated against coronavirus, adding, 'as soon as the scientists give a green signal, the country will begin their large-scale production'.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi also unvieled today National Digital Health Mission program which would every citizen to get a health ID number. "National Digital Health Mission will bring a new revolution in India's health sector," PM Modi said, adding, "Health updates will be logged in the health ID on every visit to a pharmacy or a doctor." PM Modi also offered condolences for those who lost their loved ones in the pandemic due to the virus that has claimed over 48,000 lives in the country so far.
