Indian Ambassador to Russia, Pankaj Saran, on Wednesday said that India and Russia agree that anyone who sponsors terrorism must be combated within the framework of international law. He said that both India-Russia have their problems, the topic of combating terrorism will surely come up when PM Modi and President Putin meet.

Saran added that the St.Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is significant in landscape of Russia and India invited as a guest country and Indian PM invited as guest of honour, is a matter of great privilege.

"PM Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin will be speaking to a number of Indian and Russian CEOs on 2 June at SPIEF. Attracting Russian investment and tech into India is priority for us, SPIEF is a great opportunity for us," said Pankaj Saran.

Saran said that Russia is the only foreign partner in establishment of nuclear energy in India and India looking to increase cooperation in area.
