Even as Indian and British armies started Ajeya Warrior-2017, a 14-day joint military exercise at Mahajan field firing range in Bikaner on Friday, the armed forces of the two cricket crazy countries on Sunday took to a different field and wielded different equipment as part of the sports engagements of the ongoing Indo-UK joint military exercise.

The two armies played a friendly 20-20 cricket match.

The match was played between the 1st Royal Anglian Bn and 20th Bn of the Rajputana Rifles. The Royal Anglian won the toss and scored 109/4 in 20 overs.

The 20 Rajputana Rifles chased the given target in 16.3 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.

The military exercise between the two countries started with the address by Lt Colonel Sangram Yadav and Major David Granfield.

The exercise will conclude on December 14.
