New Delhi :

The Indian Army on Thursday rejected Pakistan's claims that 5 Indian soldiers were gunned down in ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, calling it "fictitious". Pakistan military's spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor claimed that five Indian personnel were killed in the cross-border firing.

In a tweet, Ghafoor also alleged that the Indian Army has increased firing along the LoC in an effort to divert attention from the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He claimed that a number of bunkers were damaged and "intermittent exchange of fire continues".

Meanwhile, sources said three Pakistani soldiers have been eliminated in punitive proactive response by the Indian Army after the Pakistani troops unprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with mortars at International Border nearing the militancy hit state. Ceasefire violations were reported from Uri and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir.
