Wicketkeeper and former Indian Cricket team captain MS Dhoni opened his maiden outlet of fitness and sportswear under the brand name ‘Seven’ at his home Ranchi.
The former Indian captain launched Seven — a sports apparel brand of Dhoni’s Rhiti Sports — named after his date of birth and jersey number located at ground floor of a newly built Nucleus Mall in the heart of the Jharkhand capital on Thursday.

“Fitness is crucial not only for sports but also for living a healthy life. Seven’s products are designed for fitness regimes,” said Dhoni, who is also the brand’s global ambassador.
Thousands of Dhoni fan witnessed the launching event. As Dhoni walked in the mall, youths gathered in the mall to get glimpse of the youth icon started shouting ‘Mahi-Mahi’. The Indian wicketkeeper is popular as Mahi in his hometown.
Mahi addressing the youths motivated them to give their best. He said, “I am very happy to meet you all in Ranchi after 10 years. Give your 100 percent in whatever you do.”
Later on the day he posted an image on Instagram with a caption, “1st store of Seven opens at my hometown Ranchi. So much love and affection from the people had to spend some time in the storeroom.”
The co-owner of brand Seven, Arun Pandey, was also present at launch.
Pandey informed the media that his company will be into running, training, indoor, and athletic leisure wear apparel and footwear. Seven plans to open 275 stores by 2020 with 20-25 openings this year.
The company was launched in 2016 and has presence in more than 300 multi-stores across the nation and various e-platforms.
