India's COVID19 tally nears to 2 mn, recovery rate rise to 67.19 per cent

New Delhi:

India registered another big leap in the coronavisrus cases on Thrusday, taking the nationwide tally near to two millions. With total 56,282 new COVID 19 cases registered, India's total cases have jumped to 1,964,536. As per data released by Health Ministry, total number of active cases in the country is 5,95,501. Meanwhile, total 13,28,336 patients have been discharged from hospitals.

The last 24-hrs reported 904 deaths across the nation and the total number of fatalities in the country has reached 40,699.

Health Ministry claims in the release that India continued testing more than 6 lakh COVID-19 samples for the second consecutive day. As per the release, total 6,19,652 tests were conducted in last 24 hours and the cumulative testing reached 2,14,84,402.

The Tests Per Million has seen a sharp increase to 15568. India also recorded the highest ever single day recoveries in the last 24 hours. With a sharp increase of 51,706 COVID-19 patients recovering, the recovery rate has reached a new high of 67.19%.

Total COVID19 recoveries stands at 12,82,215.

There has been an increase of 63.8% in recovered cases in the last 14 days.
