A ‘Dog Park’, the first ever in India, with state-of-the-art amenities and facilities opened at Kondapur in Hyderabad on Friday.
The park, spread across 1.2 acres area, boasts of facilities, including a walking track, off leash areas and a clinic.
Inaugurated by Telangana chief secretary SK Joshi, the Rs 1-crore park provides a healthy and safe open environment for the pets, principal secretary to municipal administration Arvind Kumar tweeted.

The dog park has two lawns and is equipped with dog training and exercise tools, splash pool, an amphitheatre, loo cafe, separate enclosures for big and small dogs among other facilities.

Free vaccination for dogs, a veterinarian and a trainer would be made available at the park, according to Harichandana Dasari, zonal commissioner of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
The park, which was a garbage dump before, was certified by the Kennel Club of India.
