It is time for Pakistan to take credible and irreversible action against terror groups existing in the areas under its control, India said on Thursday, a day after Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan admitted that there were 40 different militant groups operating in his country.
"There were 40 different militant groups operating within Pakistan. So, Pakistan went through a period where people like us were worried about could we survive it. So, while the US expected us to do more and help the US win the war, Pakistan at that time was fighting for its own existence," Khan said while addressing a Capitol Hill reception in the United States.
Terming Khan's statement a 'glaring admission by Paskistani leadership', Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, "Since Pakistan PM has acknowledged presence of training camps and of the fact that terrorists are being trained and sent to Kashmir to fight, it's time for them to take credible action against the terror camps that exist in the areas under the control of Pakistan".

Moving on to the Kulbhushan Jadhav case, Kumar said, "We expect that full consular access should be granted to Shri Kulbhushan Jadhav at the earliest in full compliance with the ICJ's judgment. We are in touch with Pakistani authorities in this regard and as and when there is an update we will let you know".

Commenting on US President Donald Trump's offer to mediate on Kashmir issue, the MEA spokerson said, "It is time to move on," adding that India's relationship with the US remains very strong.
The US President on Monday stunned the world by saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, sought his help in resolving the long pending Kashmir issue with Pakistan. India, however, denied Trump's statement, adding that Modi made no such request to him and Kashmir will remain a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan.
