Budget carrier IndiGo said on Monday it will expand its operations in Saudi Arabia with the launch of a flight service to Jeddah from Kochi.
The non-stop daily flight on the Kochi-Jeddah route will commence operations from September 16, IndiGo said in a release.
“As part of our plan to strengthen international operations, we are announcing a new flight between Kochi and Jeddah. The two cities witness a huge tourist flow owing to visiting family and friends and Haj traffic,” said William Boulter, chief commercial officer, IndiGo.
Philips to enter B2B space in grooming segment
*Dutch electronics major Philips is mulling to enter the business to business (B2B) space in the grooming segment, a company official has said.
“If there is a B2B opportunity to collaborate we are more than happy. You will see us there also...We are exploring it,” Philips India Subcontinent President Personal Health Gulbahar Taurani told PTI here.
Both male and female grooming categories for Philips has been growing at over 20 per cent for the past five years, with the electric grooming category market that estimated to be around Rs 1,000 crore each, growing at 15 per cent.
Castrol India appoints R Gopalakrishnan as new chairperson
*Lubes maker Castrol India Ltd (CIL) announced on Tuesday the stepping down of Chairperson and Independent Director Susim Datta.
R Gopalakrishnan, who has been an Independent Director on CILs Board, will succeed Datta as the new chairperson effective October 1, the company said in a release.
Datta served the company for over two-decades.
