New Delhi:
The Indian Army gunned down one terrorist in encounter in Samboora area of Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on early Monday morning. The Pakistani terrorist was identified as Umer of Abu Ismail group.
The encounter began between security forces and militants at 10:30 pm on late Sunday night.
Jammu and Kashmir DGP SP Vaid informed that one Pak LeT terrorist was killed in the encounter while 1-2 terrorists managed to escape from the spot. One terrorist got injured, he said.
Vaid said it is the strong resolve of security forces to rid Kashmir from menace of terrorism.
On the other hand, the Pakistani Army violated the ceasefire by firing at Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said.
Pakistani forces violated the ceasefire in the Baba Khori belt of Naushera sector, Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri Shahid Iqbal Choudhary said.

According to reports, the Pakistani troupes resorted to shelling and firing in forward areas. Pakistan violated the ceasefire by firing at Indian posts along the LoC in the Kalsia belt of Rajouri district on July 31.
On July 30, Pakistani forces had violated the ceasefire by firing from light weapons and medium machine guns in the Baba Khori belt of Naushera sector.
