A civilian was injured during an exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in the Khudwani area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday morning. The exchange of fire began after terrorists fired upon an army camp, according to news agency ANI. Security forces have cordoned off the area and the injured has been admitted in the hospital.

On Tuesday, an Army jawan was killed and four terrorists were gunned down in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Nadigam area of Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.

Earlier on Sunday too, two terrorists were gunned down by security forces in an encounter in Shopian. The security forces began a cordon and search operation in the Rebban area of Zainapora after receiving credible inputs about the presence of terrorists. The terrorists fired on the search party, following which security forces retaliated leading to an encounter. Arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of encounter.
