New Delhi:
Pakistani troops on Wednesday initiated indiscriminate firing along LoC in Bhimber Gali sector between 05:00 am to 05:40 am. The Pakistani troops fired small arms, automatics and 82 mm mortars. The Indian Army retaliated strongly to the unprovoked firing.
The Pakistani troops also violated ceasefire in Nowshera sector. The Indian Army has retaliated and firing was on in the region.
There have been nine ceasefire violations in the past four days and total 12 along the LoC and IB in Jammu region since January one in which one civilian died and seven others were injured.
"Pakistan Army initiated indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics RPG and recoilless rifles from 0930 hours inNaushera sector along the Line of Control in Rajouri district on Wednesday", Defence Spokesman Lt. Col. Manish Mehta said.
"The Indian Army posts are retaliating strongly and effectively and the firing is presently on," he said.

Earlier, Pakistan carried out indiscriminate firing from0500 hours to 0545 hours in Bhimbher Gali sector along theLoC, he said. There were three ceasefire violations on June 12.
