Jaipur-bound Alliance Air flight makes emergency landing at Delhi airport

Delhi airport officials stated that 'full emergency' was declared for the Alliance Air flight and it landed safely at the airport at around 8:30 PM.

 Jaipur-bound Alliance Air flight makes emergency landing at Delhi airport

A Jaipur-bound Alliance Air flight made an emergency landing at Delhi airport on Monday after it developed some problem in the landing gear. The incident happened at around 8:30 pm. All 59 passengers on board the plane are safe. 

According to reports, Delhi to Jaipur Alliance Air flight - 9X 643 - made an emergency landing just a few minutes after its take-off. 

"The Alliance Air flight - 9X 643 - made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport due to a problem in the nose landing gear and some material failure," a spokesman said.

Delhi airport officials stated that "full emergency" was declared for the Alliance Air flight and it landed safely at the airport at around 8:30 PM.

The runway has been cleared and another aircraft is been arranged to take passengers to Jaipur. The flight may be take off around 10.15pm.

The sources said the plane caught fire at the time of landing in the national capital. Alliance Air is a subsidiary of Air India.
