In another encounter from Jammu and Kashmir, two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorists were killed on Wednesday by security forces in Anantnag district, police said.
Following a tip about the presence of terrorists, security forces launched a search operation in Lal Chowk area in Anantnag district on Wednesday, a police official said.
The search operation took a steep turn after terrorists started firing at the security forces. Two terrorists, belonging to the LeT, were killed in the cross-fire, the official said.

Both of them belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba and one of them has been identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar. Identity of the other terrorist is yet to be discovered, said Jammu and Kashmir official.
Meanwhile, an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces was also being reported from Keran sector along the Line of Control in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Both the encounters came a day following an army jawan’s death after the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) party at Srinagar’s Batmaloo was attacked by the terrorists on Tuesday.
