A Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist has been killed in an encounter between militants and security forces which broke out early on Thursday morning in Jammu and Kashmir’s Hajin area of Bandipora district, said police officials.
A launch operation and cordon were launched by the security forces in Shakurdin village following the information of presence of militants in the area, officials said.
The operation soon turned into an encounter, as per officials, when the open firing started from the side of the militants, thus forcing the security forces to retaliate.
