The intelligence agencies have intercepted calls from across the border in Pakistan, which confirms that Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen designed and trained terrorists for Sunjwan attack to take ‘avenge’ of execution of Afzal Guru - mastermind of 2001 Parliament attack.
The security agencies and intelligence agencies have learnt that Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar and his brother, Rauf Asghar, operational head of the banned terrorist group had held a meeting with Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin at Muzaffarabad and Rawalakot in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
According to sources in the intelligence agencies the duo terrorist groups had organised terror camps in PoK’s Muzaffarabad.
A senior officer of Jammu and Kashmir Police who wished anonymity said, “The terrorists who carried out the Sujwan attack were trained at terrorist camps held by Jaish and Hizbul in PoK.”
Intelligence sources confirmed News Nation that chief of both the terror groups were monitoring the training of the militants to carry out Sunjwan attack. “The terror camps were being held at PoK’s Muzzaffarabad from January 20,” added the intelligence officer.
According to the sources and the intercept, the attack was planned by Hizbul and Jaish to give ‘tribute’ to Afzal Guru — Parliament attack mastermind, he was executed on February 9, 2013.
The officer added that the terrorists who were trained at the PoK terror camps to carry out Suzwan attack were christened Afzal Guru squad.
