New Delhi:

In yet another encounter, the security forces gunned down two militants in the forest area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district, according to reports.

“UPDATE on Bandipora encounter: Two terrorists have been killed in the encounter. Operations are underway,” the news agency ANI reported.

The gunfight ensued last night between the forces and terrorists after security personnel launched a cordon and search operation following certain inputs about the presence of militants in Sumlar area of the district.
