Pakistan Army on Thursday initiated unprovoked firing in Ramgarh sector of Jammu and Kashmir at 3:50 AM.

The Border Security Force (BSF) retaliated heavily to the firing across Line of Control (LoC).

The firing from Pakistan Army stopped firing at 5:30 AM.

No casualty has been reported so far.

In a separate incident, the BSF on Wednesday killed two Pakistani smugglers when they tried to enter the Indian territory, and seized heroin worth Rs 20 crore.

“The BSF conducted a joint operation with the Narcotics Control Bureau in Shahpur in Amritsar sector after they witnessed a movement of the smugglers this morning,” BSF IG Mukul Goyal said.
