Pakistan on Wednesday violated ceasefire in Shahpur Kirni Sector of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.

Heavy shelling was reported from both the sides. Firing started at 7:40 AM in the morning.

No damage has been reported yet.

Army is giving retaliating strongly and effectively.

“Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 0815 hours in Poonch sector along the Line of Control (LoC)”, the spokesman said.

Earlier on October 18, Pakistan violated ceasefire in Balakote sector of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir. Four civilians were injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Balakote sector.

There were reports of damage to the houses and cars in the Balakote sector.
