The higher mountainous ranges of Pir Panjal region have received heavy snowfall on Saturday morning forcing authorities to close traffic on Mughal Road.
The fresh snowfall in the higher region on Saturday has brought down the temperature across Jammu and Kashmir and people have been seen wearing warm clothes yet again.
Night temperatures at most of the places in Kashmir division stayed above the freezing point last night.
"Jammu and Kashmir: Pir Panjal Range experienced heavy snowfall this morning, Mughal road closed," news agency ANI tweeted a couple of minutes back.
The visuals of rooftops and roads covered in snow have added to the scenic beauty of the valley.
However, the traffic movement along several areas came to a temporary halt after heavy snowfall blocked the roads.

A bunch of vehicles lined up on the route as rescue workers removed the vehicle and cleared the way for the traffic. The electric and water supply services have also been disrupted due to the blockage.
However, no injury has been reported in the incident till the time.
The MeT Department forecasts heavy snowfall at higher mountainous ranges till November 18.
