Security forces during an anti-militancy operation busted a major hideout of Hizbul Mujahideen militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district on Wednesday.
The security forces have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the natural cave-hideout of the militant group.
Doda Senior Superintendent of Police Mohammad Shabir told the media that the militants group had made a natural cave their hideout.
“It hideout was was unearthed during an anti-militant operation in the forest area of Thana Dessa area,†added the SSP.

The SSP further added that the anti-militancy operation was carried out by Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army after they received intelligence inputs.

He further added that the security forces recovered Ak-47 assault rifles, Chinese pistols, Chinese grenades, Rocket propelled Grendar rounds, under barrel grenade launchers, 323 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and a collection booklet of the terrorist group.
The Shabir added that the joint security forces are carrying out search and cordon operations in the region to flush out the militants.
