New Delhi:
Militants on Thursday night attempted to blow up security forces bullet proof Casper vehicle with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in Pulwama’s Trichal village of Jammu and Kashmir, a police official said.
“A bullet proof Casper vehicle of 55 RR came under an IED blast followed by intense firing near Trichal Bridge on Lassipora-Pulwama road around 9:30 late Thursday night,” police said.
According to locals, a huge blast was followed by heavy firing.
No casualties were reported from either side, police said, adding the area has been cordoned off for further investigation.
Further details of the incident were awaited, police said.
