Three people were shot dead by militants

Three people were shot dead by militants in Old Town of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, the police said.

Senior police officials rushed to the spot immediately after the attack in north Kashmir.

Three boys were killed in the firing by militants in Baramulla, SP Vaid, Director General of Police confirmed.

The boys were on their way to Khanpora in Old Town when the militants fired around 15 rounds at them, according to the police.

The deceased have been identified as Asif Ahmad Sheikh, Mohammad Asgar and Haseeb Ahmad Khan, the police said.

The three were declared dead on the spot, they said. The young boys had no affiliation with any political party, the police added.
