Further extending her policy of healing touch, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday distributed orders of appointment to those who lost their eyesight due to pellet injuries during the law and order situation in the Valley last year.

This is in continuation of her earlier measures taken for the rehabilitation of the victims of violence in the Valley.

It may be recalled that on September 14 and 28 the Chief Minister had also disbursed financial assistance to two groups of pellet victims. Besides, the Chief Minister had supervised the treatment of these victims as well.

Mufti has initiated a series of measures for the rehabilitation, social integration, and empowerment of the youth of the state. Recently, the Chief Minister directed withdrawal of cases against more than 4000 youth involved in various cases related to law and order.
