With a view to transforming the destiny of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday announced formulation of a new industrial policy in collaboration with the industrialists. Holding a meeting with businessmen and industrialists at Dhuri today, CM Mann said that a single-window system would be launched to facilitate industrialists, which will enable them to get all required approvals for setting up the industries easily. During the meeting, Mann also urged people to cast their vote for AAP’s candidate Gurmail Singh. He said that Singh hails from a common background and inclined to work for welfare of Sangrur and Punjab. The Chief Minister further said that due to the lackadaisical attitude of successive governments, most the industrialists have shifted their units to neighbouring states amid the higher tax and complex system to get approvals to run the business.

Mann said that the AAP government has already in the process to initiate a single-window portal, allowing industrialists to get the approval of NOC, or Pollution Certificate and others online. Mann said that Tata Company wanted to build a power plant from straw in Punjab. Representatives of Japanese companies and German class companies are also ready to set up projects in the state. He said that Industrial City Mandi Gobindgarh and all the other industrial towns like Rajpura, Phillaur, Dhariwal etc. would be revived. Mann said that an office of the Chief Minister would also be set up at Dhuri and there would be no need to go to Chandigarh for official works.

Mann said that Sangrur would be developed as a medical hub. Gurudwara Sant Mandal Angitha Sahib has acquired 25 acres of land and a state-of-the-art medical college in India will be set up there. Mann made a scratching attack against the Congress, Akali Dal Badal, Bhartiya Janata Party and Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar. He said that some of the corrupt Congress leaders had joined BJP and some were in jail while a few Congressmen approaching the High Court to avoid arrest. He said that Sukhbir Singh Badal used to talk about ruling for 25 years but only the Badal family had disappeared from the posters of his candidate while some other candidates were contesting the elections only to set a record for most defeats. The Chief Minister said that the BJP government has been introducing schemes like demonetisation, CAA, Agriculture Bill, and Agnipath which were being opposed by the youth, farmers and general public. The situation is that when the BJP makes laws, a curfew has to be imposed first. Mann said that BJP is friend of only big corporates but AAP promotes small traders, industrialists, farmers, labourers as AAP’s goal is to work for the welfare of people and uplift their standard to make the state as Rangla Punjab again.
