Two women were allegedly raped by three youths at Kasiadih village in Palamau district, police said on Thursday. Both the women had completed their matriculation and were living in a lodge to pursue their studies, said Superintendent of Police, Indrajeet Mahatha.
They were allegedly raped by the three youths on Wednesday night. Mahatha said one of the accused was also living in the lodge and was familiar to them. As per the statement given to the police, the survivors stated that all the accused were drunk when they committed the crime.
The SP said the accused have been identified and will be arrested soon. A massive man hunt has been launched to apprehend them.
