Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra on Friday asked the Army to heighten vigil along the international border in Jammu region in the wake of continued attempts of infiltrations, ceasefire violations and militant activities.
Maj Gen Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, GOC, 26 Infantry Division on Friday called on Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here and briefed the Governor about the security situation along the IB in the area of his responsibility, an official spokesman said.
Considering the continuing attempts at infiltration, ceasefire violation and militant activities in the hinterland, the Governor stressed on the need for heightened surveillance on all fronts.
