New Delhi:
The security forces on Wednesday launched a search operation in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Around 13 districts have been cordoned off.
The officials said that joint teams of police, Army and CRPF have cordoned off at least eight villages of the district. The massive search operation comes in the wake of recent militant attacks in south Kashmir.Â

Senior police, Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel started burning the midnight oil to overcome the crisis of controlling Shopian, which is located south of the Peer Panjal mountain range and can provide free access to terrorists to cross over to Doda, Kishtwar and Poonch area of Jammu, the officials added.
