Uncertainty has gripped Kashmir after Minister of Home Affairs of India (MHA) ordered to send in additional troops to Valley for 'counter insurgency' and for maintaining 'law and order.' The Rapid Action Force (RAF) reached Jammu on Saturday. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has also cancelled leaves for its jawans, according to media reports. Earlier, the state administration had asked Amarnath pilgrims and tourists to immediately cut short their stay in the Valley and return as soon as possible in the wake of intelligence inputs of "specific terror threats" to the pilgrimage.

- All the possible support has been extended at the Srinagar airport by ensuring safety and security of the passengers. All passengers were flown out of the valley in a planned and systematic manner. The entire operation was conducted smoothly by AAI officials in close coordination with IAF, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, BSF, the airlines and State Authorities.
- In its latest advisory, the Jammu and Kashmir government said 6126 passengers are reported to be at Srinagar International Airport today for travelling out of the Valley. Of this total number of passengers, 5829 are scheduled to travel by 32 airlines while the remaining 387 were accommodated in 4 IAF Aircraft and flown to various destination like Jammu, Pathankot and Hindon.
