Here’s Why Jyotiraditya Scindia Removed Congress From His Twitter Bio

New Delhi:

Soon after Jyotiraditya Scindia removed the name of Congress party from his official Twitter account on Monday, rumours were abuzz that either he will join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or quit active politics. Putting all the rumours to rest, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that he made his bio shorter on people’s advice.

“A month back I had changed my bio on Twitter. On people's advice I had made my bio shorter. Rumours regarding this are baseless,” Jyotiraditya Scindia told ANI on being asked about not mentioning of Congress party in his Twitter bio. It is to be noted that after removing Congress from his Twitter bio, Jyotiraditya Scindia described himself “public servant and cricket enthusiast”.

Meanwhile, the sources claimed that Scindia’s move came after a secret meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Talking exclusively to News Nation, Scindia firmly denied quitting active politics. The Congress leader further said that he did not meet PM Modi.

Earlier, on his twitter bio, Scindia has written “Former Member of Parliament, Guna (200-20019) | Former Minister for Power (I/C); MoS Commerce & Industry; MoS Communications, IT & Post”.

It is said that Jyotiraditya Scindia and the Kamal Nath-led government are having an internal tiff. Recently, Scindia has written a letter to remind the Kamal Nath-led state government of its manifesto and also about the problems of the people. Scindia had previously backed PM Modi-led centre’s move on Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and its full integration into a union of India. “I support the move on Jammu And Kashmir & Ladakh and its full integration into union of India. Would have been better if constitutional process had been followed. No questions could have been raised then. Nevertheless, this is in our country’s interest and I support this,” he tweeted.
