Kannauj-based perfumers develop stink bomb to handle stone-pelters in Kashmir

Kannauj-based Fragrance and Flavour Development Centre (FFDC) has developed a 'stink bomb' to tackle stone-pelters in Kashmir. The stink bombs come in capsule form.

The capsule will burst and disperse smoke having unbearable smell but it will eventually will not affect the health and lives of people.

After the necessary clearance and approval from the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and the Union Ministry for Defence, the capsule will be taken up by the Army as a weapon against stone-pelting crowds.

“Still early stage, it is a sort of capsule which will burst and emit smoke with bad odour,” said Shakti Shukla, principal director, FFDC.
