Ahead of the inauguration of New Tarakot Track by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 19 May, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board on Monday started trial run of Track from Adhkunwari to Banganga.
Before starting the track, Hawan was performed by Shrine Board Officials and the route was opened for the devotees. In this new route, the Shrine Board has provided the number of facilities to Vaishno Devi devotees.
The distance of new track is around seven km which half of the distance is covered with tin shed that will help in providing relief to devotees in adverse weather condition like rain and heat. The width of the track is 20 m which will allow comfortable moment of devotees on the track.
The Shrine Board said the new track will be a walking track and devotees who wish to walk will be allowed to use the track,
and there will be no use of battery car or vehicle on the track.
Ponies and mules will be restricted on the track but those devotees who wish to use them will be allowed to go through the old track.
For making the track beautiful and attractive, the Shrine Board has planted flowers along the entire Tarakot track.
Four viewpoints has also been constructed along the track for devotees where cafeteria and other beverages facilities will be available.
Two Bhojanalya has been established for devotees along the route. First time, a fountain has also me made at the Tarakot Marg to make it more attractive. Besides the seven toilets, seven water cooler, health centre with rpound the clock medical facility, dustbins and security will be available on the entire track.
