A Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) leader from Kerala's Kasaragod was killed in a car accident on Dhaid road in Sharjah, UAE.
40-year-old Sunitha Prashanth, fall off a moving car and her head hit to a lamppost leading to her death, reported The Khaleej Times.
Sunita was councillor of the BJP in Kasaragod municipality and she was also a candidate in Uduma constituency during the Kerala assembly elections in 2011.
Sunita, a resident of Kasaragod district's Adukkath Vayal beach area was working as a beautician in a Sharjah salon for the last five years.
The owner of her salon took all the staff, in her car on a trip and during that trip the car's door opened and Sunitha fell out of the car, hitting her head on a lamppost and died on the spot.
The police have detained the woman owner of the salon.
Sunitha's body, which is currently in the morgue of Dhaid Hospital, will be repatriated to her hometown once the legal formalities are completed, reported news agency ANI.
