A 15-year-old girl, who reportedly jumped off the third floor of her school building in Kerala’s Kollam after an argument over punishment given to her sibling by teachers on Friday, succumbed to her injuries in a city-based hospital on Monday.
According to reports the deceased minor, a student of Kollam’s Trinity Lyceum School, had objected to the punishment given to her 13-year-old sister for talking in class and made to sit with boys.
The deceased has questioned the punishment and went into argument with her teachers.
The victim’s mother detailed the school authorities about the punishment and argument. She was assured such incident would not be repeated.
The class 10 student jumped of the building after she was mocked by her and sister’s classmates.
The Kollam Police have lodged a complaint against the two teachers charging them for abetment to suicide.
