Lalu Prasad Yadav on Wednesday reacted to Nitish Kumar’s resignation as Chief Minister of Bihar which ended JDU-RJD “Mahagathbandhan” (grand alliance).

Criticising Nitish Kumar for breaking the grand alliance, Lalu Yadav wrote on Twitter that the people of Bihar who are poor, deprived and have pro reservation stance had chosen Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) against BJP. This break in the grand alliance is its foeticide.

During the press conference, Lalu Prasad said that if Nitish Kumar is citing corruption allegations as the reason for resigning, then he must remember that when JDU-RJD alliance was made in 2015 then Nitish was already aware of the corruption charges against him.

Nitish has always maintained that he will die but won't join hands with the BJP. We spoke last night for forty minutes. He never asked for Tejashwi's resignation. "I don't feel the need for any explanation to Janata Dal (United) leaders,"

During the press conference, Lalu also stated that he was aware of the fact that knew Nitish Kumar is accused in murder case i.e. under section 302 and arms case.

The RJD leader also accused Nitish Kumar of aligning with BJP and RSS. He brought out the fact that after Nitish Kumar’s resignation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated him on Twitter.

Ending months long drama, the JDU-RJD “Mahagathbandhan” in Bihar has finally come to an end after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar resigned from his post on Wednesday evening. Nitish after giving his resignation said it was not possible to work in this environment.
