The development came after Prasad's lawyer Prabhat Kumar moved a fresh plea to the High Court seeking extension of bail given to the RJD chief on medical grounds in the fodder scam case.
Earlier, on May 11, the court of Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh had granted a six-week provisional bail to the RJD president. The bail was scheduled to lapse on June 27.
Prasad has been convicted in four cases related to the multi-crore-rupee fodder scam.
