Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Saturday said that the flood in Bihar is man-made as it was caused by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s engineer.
“It was a man-made flood in Bihar. The engineer of Nitish Kumar did all this, he did something with the dam and brought flood in the state,” Lalu told ANI.
Lalu also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi by saying that why didn’t he spent a single penny in state in previous floods.
“When Bihar suffered with floods in past, Modi ji didn't feel it was important enough to visit, didn't allocate even a single penny,” said Lalu.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi announced an immediate relief of Rs 500 crore for flood-hit Bihar. He also announced an ex-gratia Rs 2 lakh to families of deceased in Bihar floods.
