The counting of votes in Manipur concluded for 60 assembly seats on Saturday. Manipur witnessed a hung assembly as Congress emerged as the biggest party in the state with 28 seats. However, the party fell three seats short of earning a majority in the state elections. BJP established itself as the second largest party with 21 seats. Apart from them, smaller parties like Naga People's Front and National People's Party got 4 seats each.
The remaining three seats were grabbed by All India Trinamool Congress, Lok Jan Shakti Party and an independent candidate who grabbed a seat apiece.
