President Ram Nath Kovind began his first address to the nation on the eve of 71st Independence Day. He urged people to share their responsibility in nation building.

The address was broadcast kicked off at 7 pm on the national network of All India Radio (AIR) and it was broadcast over all channels of Doordarshan in Hindi followed by the English version.
