New Delhi:

Farmers from across the country have assembled in the national capital to participate in a two-day Kisan Mukti March demanding a 21-day special session of Parliament to discuss the continuing agrarian distress. The march has been organized by the CPM-All India Kisan Sabha. The farmers are seeking passage of two private member bills — on loan waivers and on assured procurement alongside MSP for farm produce. The march has the support of 200 organisations that comprise the All India Kisan Sangharsh Coordination Committee (AIKSCC).
