At least 7 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims killed and 15 were injured after terrorists opened fire on a bus carrying Pilgrims in Bantigoo area of Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district. The terrorists were on the bikes and started firing indiscriminately. Among 7 Killed, 5 were women.

# The CRPF troops, when they reached the spot to rescue the pilgrims, too came under fire from the terrorists.
# Terrorists were on bikes and started firing indiscriminately.
# The bus carrying pilgrims from Gujarat was reportedly not a registered vehicle and part of the main convoy. Therefore, no security was provided to the bus. The main convoy is escorted by troops.
