6.00 pm: Saradha Chit Fund Scam case: CBI is questioning senior Kolkata police officer Arnab Ghosh. Senior police officer Dilip Hazra did not appear before CBI in Kolkata today. Both, Ghosh and Hazra were summoned by CBI to appear before it today.

5.14 pm: Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit after meeting Rahul Gandhi at his residence: "I have given him the message that he should not resign. We want him to continue on his post, otherwise it will cause us pain. We have conveyed that to him."

4.30 pm: Andhra Pradesh: TDP National President N Chandrababu Naidu not to attend swearing-in ceremony of YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Thursday. A TDP delegation will meet YS Jaganmohan Reddy at his Amaravati residence before the swearing-in ceremony. 

4.15 pm: Trinamool Congress MLA Manirul Islam joins Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi. TMC's Gadadhar Hazra, Mohd Asif Iqbal and Nimai Das also join BJP.

4.00 pm: Sunanda Pushkar death case: Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court allows the application of Congress leader Shashi Tharoor seeking to travel abroad from June 1 to July 2.

3.30 pm: Delhi: Jagdish Tytler and other Congress leaders and supporters present outside the residence of Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

12.14 pm: Armed Forces Tribunal deferred the Indian Navy chief supersede case for 4 weeks. Court orders that Karambir Singh can take charge as a Navy Chief on 31st May. His appointment is subject to outcome of petition filed by the applicant and final decision passed by Tribunal

12 pm: Delhi High court issues notice to the Ministry of Minority Affairs and HRD on a PIL seeking regulation of education in madrasas and gurukuls, clarification on certificates issued by madrasas and mapping of all recognised and unrecognised Madrasas and gurukuls.
