Flight operations on Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport were halted for a few minutes on Sunday night after an Air Asia pilot spotted a drone near the runway.Â
According to reports, all three runways were closed and at least seven flights were diverted in the meantime.Â
The flight operations have now resumed. More details on drone awaited.Â

#Statement from IGI Airport: On 20/08/17  at about 1909 hrs Air Asia flight no I5-799  pilot reported that he had seen a Drone like object near IGI Airport. In this regard  all 03 runways  Operation was closed as precautionary measure. At about 1955 hrs the operation of all the 03 runways resumed normally after clearance from Delhi police. Detail report is awaited.

#The Air Asia spotted the drone at 7:09 PM. The runaway was closed from 7:12 PM till 7:55 PM. Delhi Police gave clearance at 7:55 PM
