In a marathon session, the Lok Sabha passed the Constitution (124 Amendment) Bill, 2019 that provides 10% reservation to the economically weaker section of the General category in jobs and education with an overwhelming majority on Tuesday. Seen as a 'masterstroke' by the Narendra Modi government in the election year, the Bill will be presented in the Rajya Sabha today. While the Bill was passed in the Lower House virtually unopposed, it will be interesting to see how the Opposition parties react to the Bill. Meanwhile, as part of BJP's 'Mission 100', Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two rallies in UP's Agra and Maharashtra's Solapur today. The Congress has also gone into combat mode for the 2019 battle with party chief Rahul Gandhi kicking off the poll campaign with a rally in Jaipur today.
