Nine coaches and engine of Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express derailed near Asangaon of Maharashtra on Tuesday early morning. A rescue team rushed to the spot from Kalyan. Â The accident took place between Asangaon and Vasind. The derailed bogies were B3, B4, B5, B6 and train engine.Â
Anil Saxena, CPRO, said, as per latest information, engine and 9 coaches derailed.Â
Central Railway Chief PRO Sunil Udasi informed that loco and 7 coaches have derailed and no casualties reported in the mishap. Udasi further informed that Kasara and Asangaon suburban trains are running up to Titwala only. CSTM-Howrah Gitanjali Express has been diverted, he told.Â
Railway Board chairman Ashwani Lohani said one board member, General Manager, and DRM have been asked to reach the derailment site to provide extensive help to passengers.

It is being said that landslide was the reason behind the train mishap.

The Central Railway said the accident took place between Asangaon and Vasind and none of the passengers injured. It said that they are arranging buses to bring passengers to the destination. Doctors and senior officials were present on the spot, it said. Â Â

This is third train accident happened in last fifteen days. On August 23, nine bogies of Kafiyat Express got derailed in UP's Auraiya district after dashing against a dumper carrying construction material for railway work.

The other major accident had happened on August 19 when 14 bogies for Utkal Express got derailed in Khatauli of Muzaffarnagar district which claimed 23 lives and left more than 100 people injured.Â
